The Bequest mouse has been created by Susan Plowman , a jeweller and goldsmith living and working in the Highlands, on the Black Isle and at Achnasheen, Ross-shire. The mouse (84mm x 60mm) is made from 29gms of 18ct white and 28gms 18ct yellow gold, the total weight in ounces is 2.010 oz. The diamonds are natural champagne colour and natural cognac colour 96 x 2mm round and 27 x 1.5mm round. There are also 60 x 1mm round diamonds which also include pale pink diamonds around the nose and feet and fine white G-VVS diamonds on the underbelly and chin of the gold mouse. The eye is a 2.5mm black diamond.
The inscription - The best laid scheme o' mice an' men gang aft agley - is on the back as shown and the mouse is cased in a leather lined wooden box . The mouse is valued at £10,000 as a work of art.
